Technical Due Diligence and Owner’s Engineering

We tell sponsors and investors what a project actually is, before the money is committed, and then make sure it gets built that way.

Technical due diligence

For an acquisition, a fund investment or a financing, AIUS reviews the project as it stands and reports what would change the value or the timetable:

  • Resource and yield assessment, and the assumptions inside the production model
  • Design review: layout, module and inverter selection, DC and AC sizing, structural design against site conditions
  • Permitting status: authorisation, land, environmental clearance, connection agreement
  • EPC contract and O&M contract review
  • Capital and operating cost benchmarking
  • Construction schedule realism
  • A red-flag register with each item costed or timed where possible

Owner’s engineering and construction management

Once a project is committed, AIUS represents the sponsor’s technical interest against the EPC contractor:

  • EPC tendering, technical evaluation and contract negotiation support
  • Design review and approval on the owner’s behalf
  • Resident or periodic site supervision, quality control and non-conformance management
  • Progress certification and variation assessment
  • Test witnessing, commissioning coordination and STEG acceptance
  • Punch list management through to final acceptance
